The Sigmund Freud Museum is located in Berggasse 19.

Sigmund Freud lived and worked in this building

for more than forty years (1891-1918).

 

 

The Sigmund Freud Museum was opened in 1971 in the presence of his daughter

Anna Freud, whose donation formed the core of the museum's collection.

 

 

Sigmund Freud was born in 1856. He died in 1939.

Berggasse is part of district number IX.

 

 

The café next to the museum is named after Freud.
