The name Harriet Tubman is connected with several keywords in American history:
Slavery, escape to freedom, the Underground Railroad, the Civil War, and the long-running quest for a society with freedom and justice for all.
Harriet Tubman was born as a slave in 1822, but in 1849 she escaped from the South to the North and she became a free woman.
Having secured her own freedom, she decided to go back and help other slaves in the South gain their freedom. She worked for the Underground Railroad. She conducted several trips to the South.
Each time, her own life was in danger, but she always managed to return safely to the north. And she added an important detail:
She never lost a passenger, while she was a conductor on the Underground Railroad!
During the Civil War (1861-1865), she worked as a scout and a spy for the US military, even though women were not supposed to work the military.
Once again, she brought her own life in danger, but she always managed to return to safety in the North, whenever a mission had been accomplished.
This film covers her life and career in great detail with special focus on the Underground Railroad and her activity during the Civil War.
It is divided into nine chapters

Here is my opinion:
The topic is important. The story deserves to be told, and in this film, it is done very well.
This film is a project based on a low budget, and sometimes it shows. But I am not going to use this fact as a reason to complain about the work of the filmmaker Luana M. Graves Sellars.
I want to go all the way to the top with this product. I think it deserves a rating of five stars (100 percent).
