Several historical moments have been recreated by actors. Many scenes are filmed in Egypt. Temples, tombs, and other ancient monuments are shown many times.
Queen Tiye was born around 1400 BC.
In 1390 BC, when she was only ten years old, she was married to the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, who was also born around 1400 BC.
She was married to him for almost forty years.
He died in 1353 BC.
Queen Tiye outlived her husband by many years.
She died in 1338 BC.
Tiye is the mother of Amenhotep IV who later changed his name to Akhenaton (also spelled Akhenaten).
Her son ruled from 1353 to 1336.
Tiye is the grandmother of Tut Ankh Amun.
Her grandson ruled 1332-1323.
This film covers her remarkable life and career in great detail.
It shows that she played an important role, not only while she was married to Amenhotep III, but also during the final years of her life when her son was the Pharaoh.
What do reviewers say about this film?
On IMDb it has a rating of 71 percent.
In my opinion, this rating is too low.
I want to go all the way to the top with this product. I think it deserves a rating of five stars (100 percent).
If you are interested in the history of the ancient world – in particular the history of ancient Egypt – this film is definitely something for you.
It is highly recommended.
