Venice is the English name of an Italian city which was founded in a lagoon at the northern end of the Adriatic Sea around AD 400. In Italy, it is known as Venezia. In Italy, the lagoon is known as laguna.

Venice is famous, because it has no roads and no cars; instead, it has canals and boats. It was founded on more than one hundred small and very low islands in the laguna ca. 1600 years ago.

In modern times, Venice is threatened by several problems.

In this film, we learn what the problems are. The major problems are identified and explained.

I will not mention the problems here. Watch the film and find out for yourself.

We also learn what the city of Venice is doing in order to deal with these problems. Some solutions and suggestions have already been implemented, while others are still wanting to happen.

I will not mention the solutions and suggestions here. Watch the film and find out for yourself.

Saving is Venice is regarded as an important task, because this city is an important part of Italian history and culture.

How is this film?

What about the rating?

On IMDb, the NOVA program has a rating of 87 percent which corresponds to 4.4 stars on Amazon. This is a very high rating for a documentary series.

Each episode has its own rating. At the moment, this episode has a rating of 68 percent, which corresponds to a rating of 3.4 stars on Amazon. As you can see, the current rating of this episode is lower than the general rating of the NOVA program.

But this situation is likely to change as time goes by. The rating may go up and user reviews may be posted.

What do I think about it? In my opinion, the fate and the future of Venice is an important topic which deserves to be covered. In this film, it is done very well.

I want to go all the way to the top with this product. I think it deserves a rating of five stars (100 percent).

PS. An extended version of this film was aired on Australian television (SBS). It is available online. The narration is in English and it comes with English subtitles. Run time: 88 minutes.
