Wat Huay Mongkhon (Thailand)


Wat Huay Mongkhon is located ca. 20 km west of Hua Hin

The temple is built to honour the memory of a famous monk: 
Luang Por Tuad who lived 1582-1682


The central monument is a giant statue of the famous monk


Luang Por Tuad - sometimes his name is spelled Luang Pu Thuat

there are two temple buildings

there is an equestrian statue of King Taksin the Great (1767-1782)




At the foot of the huge monument there are two smaller monuments
To the left: the monk riding an elephant


To the right: the monk riding an elephant
